Requarth Lumber and Millwork is committed to being regional leader in the promotion of environmentally responsible practices and materials used in residential and commercial construction.

In 2009, Requarth completed the training required to become a Green Certified dealer. This certification ensures that Requarth personnel are trained in the basics of green building science and green product knowledge.

In early 2010, Requarth completed a six-month process to achieve Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification. FSC certification requires careful documentation of procurement systems, warehouse monitoring and procedures to validate the certified chain of custody of Requarth’s FSC lumber acquisition process. Essentially, FSC Chain of Custody Certification means that Requarth meets strict tracking requirements that ensure the products sold as FSC-certified originated from a responsibly managed forest.

Requarth Lumber and Millwork is the first and only FSC-certified lumber company in Dayton, providing the region (and beyond) support for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) development projects.

In addition to our full line of non-certified products, Requarth offers FSC-certified materials for many of our existing products, ranging from from fire-retardant treated lumber and custom molding to windows, doors and plywood.
